This Weekend @ Revolution: The Secret of Life

As Christmas approaches, we run from party to party, store to store, crossing things off our list. We tell ourselves that it will end soon and that the season isn’t about what we want (at least we tell our kids that), but deep down we hope that all the running, cookies, parties, and gifts will add to our lives and make us happy. Even content. But, then January rolls around and we make New Year’s resolutions because of an emptiness we feel from the holidays and the year before.

What if, we didn’t do that? What if we were able to discover a secret that eludes many people and yet the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4 says he discovered. The secret of knowing the difference between a want and a need. The difference of being content and not needing anything. Can you imagine?

Content. Let that word ring around your head for a minute. What does that even mean? What does that even feel like? To be content in all situations.

That’s what we will be diving into as wrap up our series on the book of Philippians this Saturday. You don’t want to miss it.

Also, I hope you are thinking about who to invite for our Christmas Eve experience:  Salvaged. It is going to be a great night and we are hoping to pack out the auditorium as we look at how God brings healing to the broken places in our lives. You never know when an invitation will make an eternal difference in someone’s life. In fact, I just saw the other day that people are more likely to say yes to an invite to church at Christmas.

Remember, we meet at 5pm at 6620 E 22nd St.

Don’t forget, our Christmas offering is in full swing. Please be praying and thinking about what God is calling you to give this year to help us move the gospel forward outside of the walls of Revolution.

See you Saturday.
